Before you can use the online application service you will need to create an account. Once you have registered you can apply for your child’s school place. If you already have an account please enter your log in details to make or view applications.

CHANGING SCHOOL DURING ACADEMIC YEAR: If your child is already in school and you want to change schools now or in the near future you can now apply online for a Community Primary School or Community Secondary School
SCHOOL ADMISSIONS 2023/2024 For all annual applications to Community Nursery, Community Primary and Community Secondary Schools in Cardiff.
The Council also administers applications for school places for Reception and Year 7 for all faith schools in Cardiff except:
- Llandaff City C.W Primary School
- St John Lloyd R.C Primary School
- St Patrick’s R.C Primary School
- Mary Immaculate High School
- St Illtyd’s Catholic High School
Applications for these schools or schools outside of Cardiff should be made directly to the Admissions Authority concerned.

Closes: 21 November 2022
Offer Date: 1 March 2023
Reception 2023 (Currently Closed) - For children born 01/09/2018 – 31/08/2019
Opens: 14 November 2022
Closes: 09 January 2023
Offer Date: 17 April 2023
Nursery 2023 (Currently Closed) - For children born 01/09/2019 – 31/08/2020 (September 2023 start)
Opens: 30 January 2023
Closes: 27 February 2023
Offer Date: 02 May 2023
Nursery 2024 (Currently Closed) - For children born 01/09/2020 – 31/03/2021 (Spring/Summer 2024 start)
Opens: 05 June 2023
Closes: 03 July 2023
Offer Date: 2 October 2023
It is important that you decline or accept your offer by the date specified with your offer of a school place.
